When I say Dallas, you say… artsy? Okay, not exactly the first word that comes to mind when describing the neighborhoods of this city - but maybe it should be. If you're an individual looking for a little culture when you're apartment searching, it can be hard to figure out which neighborhoods in Dallas are the best fit for you. At Locate & Lease, we're inspired by the creative murals throughout this eclectic city.
While the arts district gets its fair share of the spotlight, an impressive lineup of paint-on-brick pieces lie scattered all across the city. We’re talking street art - wall murals just begging, pleading to serve their due diligence as your next ‘gram backdrop. Where do I find the perfect neighborhood for wall art to please my Instagram fans? We’re glad you asked. Keep scrolling for a breakdown of art that may be right around the corner of your new Dallas apartment?

This summer-appropriate beach ball explosion behind LOFT in West Village, is the perfect example of the preppy-chic flare this neighborhood sports. Uptown is known for its hip and edgy professional dwellers and is a unique shopping destination garnered with high-end clothing stores, upscale wine bars, an art house film center and a central nightlife scene located just blocks away.
The apartments located in Uptown, are all high-end, luxury apartments that are accommodated with pools, updated amenities, gym centers and a chance to meet a professional network of working professionals.
“Neighborhoods, like people, are more interesting when they have a past”, reads the side of this Bishop & 7th mural. Bishop Arts is located in the heart of Oak Cliff, a neighborhood of Dallas that is perfect for the low-key, artist looking for a quiet neighborhood with quaint, quirky and eclectic individuals.
Side note: This district is full of amazing high-scale coffee shops. Our favorite little coffee shop is Wild Detectives (they hold live poetry nights, music and book signings for upcoming local Dallas artists.)
The district holds over 60 independent boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and art galleries - literally making it one of Dallas’ most unique neighborhoods.

If you’re looking for a place with low-key hangouts, brunching and unique restaurants Knox Henderson is the perfect neighborhood for you. Located just right outside of the Uptown District, Knox Henderson is an up-in-coming neighborhood that is just a shot away from 75 central. We aren’t joking when we say it is in direct competition for one of the best brunch spots in Dallas, Texas.
This neighborhood is the epitome of edgy and hip. Originally, the mecca of Dallas’ music scene, this neighborhood is the capital of local arts and culture in Dallas. Deep Ellum is for the truly hip of the hip, its current city dwellers are musicians, artists and modern designers. This lively neighborhood is known for its murals, local art galleries, and concert venues. If you’re looking for a great nightlife scene centralized in music, than enjoy a wide variety of cocktail bars, eateries and a boisterous crowd with experimental art. The apartment complexes in Deep Ellum are unique buildings with a modern design.
